Mandate: Preaching the ‘Good News’ of Jesus Christ – Making Disciples

MISSION

We have a contagious passion for mission!  We believe there is only one mission for our Church, and that is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is ‘Good News;’ the most important and enriching news any human being can hear.  Our ‘mission’ is based on the mandate given in Matthew 28:19 “Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit” teaching them in obedience to follow Christ.

The Seven Marks of our Mission are:

  • To proclaim the gospel, the ‘Good News’ of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
  • To teach, baptise, nurture and make new disciple
  • To be ‘light’ and ‘salt’ by responding to the need of the community
  • Be an inclusive church, pursing peace, unity and reconciliation
  • To Exalt, Exult, Encourage, Edify and Equip.
  • Holiness, Wholeness, Balance and Unity
  • Strive to safeguard the integrity of each person.

Trinitarian

Deuteronomy 6:4: We believe in one God and one God only! A Trinitarian God, the Creator of all things who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, the Son of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Identity

We are an active and growing congregation where the central focus of our serve is Jesus Christ. We come from different backgrounds with different experiences of how Jesus has transformed our lives. We believe that the Bible is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correction, and training in all righteousness.” Hence, the word of God is our final authority in all matter of our Christian Faith and practice equipping us for every good work in service to the Lord.

Message

That Jesus can transform your life and He loves you with and everlasting love! Why not give Him a try. He is the LIGHT and HOPE of our world!

Jesus Christ, fully God and fully Man was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit into a broken and dark world to seek out and rescue those who are lost. He bore our sins on the cross, becoming a curse for us so that we may have eternal life.

Worship Style

We practice systematic exposition in our preaching ministry. Our worship team chooses songs based not on personal style or preferences; rather it is prayerfully selected based on the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Lord, rain on us! We pray for the rain of the Holy Spirit on our lives, church and community like never before.

Scriptures

Isaiah 11:5 “Righteousness shall be the belt of HIS lions, and faithfulness the belt of HIS waist.”

Jeremiah 30:19 From them will proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who celebrate; And I will multiply them and they will not be diminished; I will also honour them and they will not be insignificant.”

Our Declaration

Joel 2:19: The Lord our God is sending us grain, new wine and olive oil, enough to satisfy us fully; never again will we be made an object of scorn to the nations.

Joel 2: 23-26. Be glad, people of Zion (Attleborough), let us rejoice in the Lord our God, for He has given us the autumn rains because He is faithful. He sends us abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains as before. Our threshing floors are being filled and will be filled with grain; our vats will overflow with new oil and wine. The Lord will repay us for the years the locust has eaten, the great locust and the young locust, and the other locusts and locust swarm. We will have plenty to eat, until we are full and we are praising the Lord our God and will continue to praise the name of our Holy, Righteous and Just God. He is working wonders for us, people will know that the Lord is in Attleborough Baptist Church and there is no other like Him. He is pouring out His Spirit on all people.
