          Help us to House a Family in the Dominican Republic with Mission Direct

Hi Everyone

I was hoping to visit Uganda this coming year with Mission Direct but with the current uncertainty surrounding global travel it is looking very likely now that all planned trips with this charity organisation are going to be postponed a further 12 months into 2022. With this in mind, for the remainder of the year Mission Direct are directing their energy into a building project for 21 families in a deprived area of the Dominican Republic. The target is, with the support of local partners to build 21 sustainable houses at the cost of £4000 each, from which a family could move into from their current slum dwellings. I have taken on the challenge to try and raise enough funds if possible to support building one of these houses. Part of this challenge is in the coming months I plan to “sleep out” overnight on the church steps at Attleborough Baptist Church (ABC) to bring the sense of how homelessness must feel and the following morning participate in completing a 10Km run.
